First Florida Constructors awards Camden Atlantic Planation to DAR

DAR Finish Specialties, Inc. has been awarded subcontract from First Florida Constructors to furnish and install doors, frames, door hardware, running trim, bathroom accessories, mirrors, and shower enclosures for Camden Atlantic Apartments. Camden Atlantic Apartments is also known as Midtown 24 Phase II.

The second phase of the Midtown 24 apartments in Plantation is up for review. Houston-based Camden USA wants the density increased from 227 units to 269 mid-rise units for its vacant property at 7700 S.W. 6th Street, behind the Fountain Shops. It bought the 2.3-acre site for $9 million in 2012.The first phase of Midtown 24 was built in 2010. Those 236 units were sold a year later for $69 million.
